Two-hundred runners laced up their shoes in late July to participate in the 35th annual Memphis to Peoria Run — a 465-mile fundraiser relay that ends in Peoria, Illinois.
The event has raised more than $40 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since the first run in 1982. Runners included St. Jude patient families, St. Jude employees and devoted St. Jude supporters. In addition to the Memphis to Peoria Run, thousands of runners from 39 satellite runs from communities in Illinois and Missouri all met at the finish line at the Peoria Convention Center July 30 for the annual St. Jude Telethon.
