A taste of summer – with a cherry on top

More than 70 patients and siblings recently enjoyed an ice cream party at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital sponsored by Carnival Cruise Line – St. Jude’s Official Celebration Partner. As part of the fun, St. Jude patients sampled three new ice cream flavors selected by Carnival’s Facebook fans and voted on their favorites. The winning flavor, Brownie Buoy, will be sold in the Cherry on Top ice cream parlor aboard Carnival’s new cruise ship, Carnival Vista. Proceeds from the sale of this flavor aboard the ship will benefit St. Jude. Carnival has raised more than $7 million for St. Jude since becoming a partner in 2010. Carnival supports a number of fun activities at St. Jude including a Day of Play and birthday celebrations as well as providing entertainment for the annual St. Jude Teen Formal.
