Best Buy employees and leaders from around the country recently visited St. Jude to celebrate a record-breaking fundraising year of raising $20 million as top corporate partner through their St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign. As a part of the visit, Best Buy employees hosted a hands-on technology event for patients and families.

“At Best Buy, we always hear stories about St. Jude so we know the work that the hospital does is so impactful, but to see the level of care that goes to the patients – the love – that St. Jude wraps around them is incredible,” said Brad Allen, general manager of the store in Peachtree City, Georgia. “And the kids were amazing. When you interact with these kids, it’s like they might as well be on a playground. The care and love that St. Jude gives the patients allows them to keep being kids!”

“Best Buy’s extraordinary dedication to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the holiday season has led to more than $20 million in donations to support our mission of finding cures and saving children,” said Richard Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. “We are so appreciative of Best Buy’s support that enables St. Jude to continue groundbreaking research and treatment while keeping our founding promise that no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.”
