Employee Resource Groups, or ERGs, provide value to employees and the institution. They support the St. Jude Diversity and Inclusion strategic goals and advise the institution on ways to improve the culture for those they represent. They also engage allies, foster equity and help create a sense of belonging by serving as forums for employees to connect.
Asian American and Pacific Islander Employee Resource Group
The AAPI ERG is a group dedicated to celebrating the rich heritage and diversity of employees who identify as Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islanders (AAPI). The main goal of the group is to promote cultural awareness and respect by creating a unified platform for AAPI individuals to come together and share their unique experiences and perspectives. AAPI was established in 2023.
Black Employees and Allies Resource Group
The Black Employees and Allies Resource Group (BEARG) is committed to improving the recruitment, retention, promotion, development, and representation of Black employees in the St. Jude community. BEARG was established in 2020.
Disability & Neurodiversity Alliance Employee Resource Group
The Disability & Neurodiversity Alliance (DNA) creates a community that celebrates, centers, and elevates voices and experiences of those with disabilities and neurodiversity at St. Jude. The DNA ERG offers opportunity for employees to gather in support and allyship of the disability community while learning from one another. DNA was established in 2023.
Embracing Multiculturalism Employee Resource Group for Everyone (E.M.E.R.G.E.)
E.M.E.R.G.E.is a passionate and inclusive community committed to fostering understanding, support, and advocacy for multiculturalism within our institution. We believe that creating an inclusive workplace requires active participation from individuals of all backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. E.M.E.R.G.E. was established in 2023.
Latinx/Hispanic Employee Resource Group
The Latinx/Hispanic Employee Resource Group will focus on empowering and supporting the next generation of talent of all Latinx/Hispanic employees at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Latinx/Hispanic was established in 2023.
Military Support Resource Group
The Military Support Resource Group provides a network that supports the professional/personal development of Military and Veteran employees at all levels, supports their families, and works with management to advance the inclusion, retention, and career mobility of Military and Veteran employees. MSRG was established in 2010.
Over 55 Employee Resource Group
The Over 55 Employee Resource Group is a community within St. Jude that aims to support and empower employees who are 55 years of age or older. This group provides a platform for networking, sharing experiences, and addressing unique challenges faced by this demographic in the workplace. Over 55 was established in 2023.
Parents and Caregivers Employee Resource Group
The Parents and Caregivers Employee Resource Group (PACE) at St. Jude aims to provide support, resources, and advocacy for employees who are parents, expectant parents, family caregivers, and/or patient caregivers. PACE was established in 2023.
PRIDE
The St. Jude PRIDE Employee Resource Group strives to empower an inclusive culture for the St. Jude, GMP, and Graduate School LGBTQ+ community and allies. St. Jude PRIDE (People Respecting Individuality, Diversity, and Equality) is a safe space for discussion and professional networking aimed to serve, educate, and support all employees and to promote the St. Jude mission. PRIDE was established in 2018.
Women and Allies Resource Group
The Women and Allies Resource Group (WARG) is committed to improving the recruitment, retention, promotion, development, and representation of employees who identify as women within the St. Jude community. The WARG aims to advance the St. Jude mission by supporting and sponsoring women to create an open, diverse, and inclusive workforce that represents the patients and communities that we serve. WARG was established in 2021.
Young Professionals (Under 40)
The mission of the Young Professionals (YP) ERG is to support and unite St. Jude's young professionals (under 40) through mentorship, networking, and skill development ensuring they thrive both personally and professionally. YP was established in 2023.
