During the month of September, register your car wash for Washing Cars. Fighting Cancer. presented Motor City Wash Works and fundraise to ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food.

How it works
The Washing Cars. Fighting Cancer. promotion is an easy way for car washes to support kids with cancer and other life-threatening diseases, by connecting their customers with the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children Research Hospital: Finding cures. Saving children.©
During the month of September, participating locations nationwide ask their customers to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through their Point-of-Sale system. Locations may also choose to post signage with QR codes and send messages to their car wash subscribers to gather donations online.

Your donation will be used for the general operating needs of St. Jude, where no family ever receives a bill for treatment, lodging, travel or food.

Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live.
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
St. Jude cares for some of the world’s sickest children regardless of their race, ethnicity, beliefs, or ability to pay. Our patients receive the customized care they need to treat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases, no matter what barriers they may face.

This year we are utilizing our TeamRaiser platform to better track donations made through your car wash locations. You do not need to do anything with this page, but if you’d like to share it with your employees or customers you can utilize this to promote your participation in Washing Cars. Fighting Cancer.

The toolkit for Washing Cars. Fighting Cancer. is a downloadable file and includes: Point-of-sale graphics, a text message and email template to send out to your subscribers, digital designs for decals that you may choose to print and social media templates.

All support materials for this campaign have been made digital. There is a design for a decal (dimensions) that you may choose to print and attach to on-site signage or equipment like vacuums.

Donations must be received 30 days after the campaign ends and should be submitted by mail.
To submit donations by mail: Place the donation check(s) and/or money order(s) in an envelope with a donation report (from the POS system) and return address to 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
Please make all checks and money orders payable to ‘St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’ and include Washing Cars. Fighting Cancer. Campaign in the memo section.
