Children's Day, also known as National Children’s Day, is celebrated in several countries to recognize and promote the well-being of children. This day serves as a reminder that children are our most vulnerable group and often suffer the most from global crises and problems. It also presents an opportunity to celebrate and spend quality time with the children in our lives.
WHEN is Children’s Day?
Children’s Day is celebrated on different days in different countries. The United States celebrates National Children's Day on the second Sunday of June. In 2025, it falls on June 8. Mexico celebrates El Día del Niño annually on April 30.

World Children’s Day is on November 20 each year and was established to bring awareness to children’s welfare. The date commemorates the U.N. General Assembly adopting the Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989).
